We Are Legal!

That's right!  We are finally legal.  It seems that our application got lost in the TTB's new on-line system, but we got that straightened out, got the state application completed, and received our license on Friday.

Now it's time to get brewing so I can have beer for our opening.  It will not be anything fancy, but there will be good beer, I promise.  With that said, let me give you a heads up on the direction of the brewery.

We would have liked to start out the brewery on the main road through Lucketts, Route 15, but due to environmental restrictions, It's not going to happen any time soon.  Could we have looked for other places in Leesburg?  Yes, but we really want to stay local to the community.  So we are currently looking to build a tasting room on the property and operate similar to the many farm wineries in the area.  We will be moving and expanding our hops garden, growing some spice plants typically used in brewing certain styles, and getting a new flock of chickens (which have been gone for the last year).

All this is a slow process that we would like to get working on during the winter so we could start fresh come spring.  Winter will be tough for us without any permanent building for visitors, so sales will most likely be done in the brewery itself.

More to come, so stay tuned for more info!

Cheers!
